I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all that you have done to help me sort out the art works, antiques and collectables in my mothers’ estate. You have made sense by helping me sorting through what she had and explaining to me what things were of value and what weren’t. In certain cases some valuables are best sold directly to either collectors or dealers. We use this outlet sparingly and only when we feel it’s in the best interest of our client.
For instance, especially with the prices of gold and silver being high, we find that some silverware and jewelry is worth more for its metal content than as a “collectors’ item”. This doesn’t mean that ALL silver or gold is only worth “scrap value” only that some is and it needs to be considered.
There are also certain items that for whatever reason do not sell well at auction or online. For example some pianos are best sold directly to dealers or direct to end-users.
When these situations come up we work with you to make sure you are comfortable with our suggestions.
Thanks so much for your expertise and assistance in organizing and subsequent downsizing of the family house and belongings. No doubt in our minds the task would have taken much longer and been quite honestly a nightmare without you and your generous help.
